Kalka Dental College was established in the year 2006 and is located on Delhi-Meerut Road. The college is surrounded by a number of neighboring villages, which provide the essential clinical material, so vital for training in the field of Life Sciences.

Conforming to the Dental Council of India (DCI) regulations, the college is fully equipped with ultra-modern equipments in the dental clinics, pre-clinical and research labs to create appropriate environment for teaching, learning and patient care.

Our BDS course is recognized by Dental Council of India and the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India. The BDS course is a comprehensive 4 year program followed by 1 year compulsory paid rotatory internship. The BDS course is permanently affiliated to the prestigious Chaudhary Charan Singh University, Meerut.

Kalka Dental College also offers MDS programs in 5 specialties wiz Periodontics & Implant Dentisitry, Prosthodontics, Conservative Dentistry & Endodontics, Pedodontics and Orthodontics & Dentofacial Orthopedics approved by DCI. BDS Bachelor of Dental Surgery

The Aim and objective of the curriculum is produce Dental Surgeons who are socially acceptable with the ability to work safely and effectively on patients in diagnosis, prevention and treatment of dental and oral disease while ensuring uniformity in standards of technical and clinical requirements.

BDS Curriculum is divided into two broad areas:

• The 1^st and 2^nd Year of the professional BDS programme aims at proficiency in the Basic Sciences.
• Preclinical technique and laboratory procedures

• The 3^rd and the 4^th year of the professional BDS programme
• Clinical Training on patients in the clinics in various departments

The Kalka General hospital is situated in the same campus and having outdoor & indoor facilities with a chain of specialized Doctors, such as Physicians, Surgeons, Orthopedic Surgeons, Gynecologist, ENT Surgeon, Radiologists, Pathologists and General Physician.

The Kalka General Hospital has emergency male and female medical wards, male and female surgical wards, orthopedic wards, pediatric wards, ICU Labour Room and a large well equipped main O.T. and Minor O.T. There is a 8 Bed- Conditioned Private ward also.

 The Hospital provide Antenatal Check-up and treatment centre for the pregnant women and vaccination centre for children.

 The Hospital is well equipped with a modern pathology Lab, 300 MA/100 Max-Ray machines and a Latest ultrasound machine.

Campus:

The Campus is built over 25 acres of prime land set in the idyllic environs of Meerut U.P. Ideally located and is a safe haven of lush greenery, pollution free, with plenty of fresh air, conducive to a student life. The campus has the uniqueness of many majestic buildings, large lawns, well maintained playgrounds along with supporting facilities. It has been planned, designed and constructed to address broader issues that relate to resource and energy conservation.

Hostel:

The college takes pride in its separate Hostel facilities for girls and boys within the college campus. Echoing the same architectural language of the main building, the Hostels combine the modern design sensibility of “Less is More” with a fresh interpretation of traditional concepts of inner courtyard to allow a natural circulation of light and air.

Library:

A well stocked library is a lifeline for any academic institution. The Library of Kalka Dental College is constantly upgraded with the latest of all information catering to the needs of all specialties of dentistry. The Central library is housed in a well-furnished, illuminated area covering about 8000 sq.ft. with a seating capacity of more than 250 students.
Separate enclosures are provided for staff and students with internet facility and audio-visual aids. The undergraduate section is separated from the post-graduate' section respecting their separate needs and requirements. The Library has thousands of books related to medical and dental sciences. The library subscribes to a large number of foreign and national journals in dentistry. The library also provides access to various national and international E- journals to all authorized students.

Lecture Theatres:

The college has 4 lecture theatres with seating capacity for 120 students each. The lecture theatres are well equipped with LCD and OHP projectors and audio-visual equipment to make the lectures livelier. Each Department has its on seminar hall equipped with LCD for undergraduate and post graduate teaching program.

Auditorium:

The college also has an auditorium for various cultural events, meetings, inter college events and Continuing Dental Education programs. The auditorium has a seating capacity to accommodate around 500 students.

IT LAB:

To cater to the needs of all the students, the College has established state of art IT Lab with latest Pentium based computer for each practicing student. The lab is equipped with latest software required for teaching. Students and faculty members extensively use the lab on a daily basis. The faculty & students remain in touch with latest development in the respective field, by use of Internet facility provided in IT Lab. The Lab is equipped with High Speed Radio Frequency Connection of 4 Mbps.

Temple:

Faith can often help tide over many difficulties. God is worshipped in many forms but to offer a small tangible spiritual force, a place of worship is needed. We recognize this need and have built a temple in the campus. College also has made provisions for a room to offer Namaz for its hostellite students.

Cafeteria:

Well maintained canteen in the campus provides the students with a variety of cuisines. The college canteens provide both vegetarian and non-vegetarian food to serve the dietary requirements of the students.

Mobile Dental Van:

A state of the art Mobile Dental Unit (MDU) was commissioned to the Dept. of Public Health Dentistry in order to take dentistry to the doorsteps of the community. Since its inception, the MDU has travelled thousands of miles across the city and at times even into adjacent cities providing integrated oral health care to the community. The MDU of the department has dental chairs with an airotor, scaler and a light cure unit as accessories. It has a power generator and an air compressor. It has facilities for health education through audio-visual aids.

Transport:

Owing to it’s location advantage of being situated on the highway, college is easily accessible both by long distance and short distance bus services. The transportation facility has received a boost after the setting up of the college fare bus stop providing an easy transport to the students, guardians, general patients and other persons visiting the college. Local authorities have generously decided to ply the city bus service on this route.

Hospital:

Catering to rural needs and to provide requisite exposure to its students college has established a 100 bedded multi-specialty hospital with in the college campus . The hospital serves as a resource for medical subjects training of the BDS and MDS students

Sports:

Kalka Dental College places enormous stress on all round development of the students. College has a huge ground with facilities for Football, Basketball, Volleyball, Athletics and also has a flood lit cricket ground. Both Boys and Girls Hostels have well equipped gymnasiums and indoor games rooms. The college also has a well maintained, covered swimming pool.
