About Sagar Institute of Technology and Management

Sagar Institute of Technology and Management was founded by the Sagar Educational Society in the year 2002 with an objective and foresight to educate the masses in various fields of technical & professional studies, enabling them to establish and excel as thorough professionals, future engineers and management executives. The institution is affiliated to U. P. Technical University, Lucknow and is approved by AICTE, Ministry of HRD, Government of India, New Delhi. It has obtained ISO 9001-2008 certification and has courses accredited by NBA. It has obtained candidacy from IAO. Adequately supported by the modern infrastructure, it provides an exceptionally well organized studying environment to prepare students capable of meeting the challenges in the fields of technological, social and managerial excellence.

SITM, as its main objective, has designed and defined its teaching methodology to promote excellence through quality education. The institution is engaged in shaping the future of candidates as world-class technocrats by providing them the most advanced learning facilities and supportive materials. The environment at SITM is highly conducive to building a solid foundation of knowledge and pursuit of excellence through personality development and professional education.

Engineering wing of Sagar Institute of Technology & Management [SITM] makes it an institute with a difference. It has highly qualified and experienced faculty, superb academic infrastructure and academic amenities. Institute provides an extensive research oriented activities, workshops, seminars, industry oriented projects etc.

The Institute has taken cognizance of current technological environment and industry demand. Accordingly, a host of co-curricular activities in technical field and personality development are planned like seminars, workshops, short programs, research work, innovation, paper presentation etc.

The academic activities beyond the syllabi in the recent past include workshops in robotics, JAVA, Trends in Electrical Engineering, Nanotechnology, national seminar on Advances in science and organizing regional meet of Children Science Congress etc. Research work in developing compressed air engine is in progress. A large number of papers have been presented in national and international seminars by the faculty and students and the institute has started the publication of an annual journal of Science, Technology and Management. To encourage technical studies and writing among the students and technical fraternity, the institute publishes two journals for engineering and applied sciences and one for management.

Management

The Department of MBA started functioning in the Year 2006 with two year's MBA course affiliated to GB Technical University, Lucknow with an intake of 60 Students. Committed to impart value based quality management education to the budding professionals, the department has a competent core faculty, which aims to groom its students on necessary competence and skills required for the effective management of today's business.

With latest techniques and innovations, the Institute infuses the knowledge of global prospective on various management issues; general management, competencies, decision making abilities and administrative competence; conceptual knowledge on the subject and behavioral skills; entrepreneurial capabilities and business leadership, team building and sensibility for group learning and problem solving, among the students. It offers specialization in Human Resources Management, Finance, Marketing and Information Technology & International Business.

The campus always remains abuzz with industrial interactions, seminars and guest lectures on important topics to update students about the current trends of the business world. Beside the syllabus, short term personality development programs are also conducted for the students. The department has a state-of-art Computer lab along with a well stocked integral departmental Library with an extended facility of IIM (Library) membership.
