The BioMedical Admissions Test (BMAT) is a 2-hour subject-specific admissions test taken by applicants to Medicine, Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Science courses. The BMAT is produced, administered and marked by the Admissions Testing Service, which also facilitates an extensive worldwide centre network at which candidates can sit the test.Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University, is accredited by NAAC (National Assessment and Accreditation Council). It is one of the largest multi-disciplinary and multi-campus universities of India having 32 constituent units.

 

BMAT important dates contains information pertaining to the dates of application, issue of admit card, declaration of result, merit list and counselling. Candidates should keep a track of BMAT important dates so that they do not miss any events related to the exam.

 B-MAT eligibility criteria:

  • The candidate must be a Graduate with minimum 50% in any subject from a recognized university. 45% for SC/ST candidates.
  • Candidates in their final year, are also eligible to apply provided they can submit their graduation certificate by August,.
  • The candidate should have completed minimum of 15 years of formal education (10+2+3 or 10+2+4 basis).
  • Those whose medium of instruction in Graduation was not English will have to complete an orientation course in English provided by the institutes.

Candidates who wish to apply for BVP BMAT should fill the application online. Before filling BVP BMAT application form, candidates have to create their login credentials, scan their photograph and signature as per dimensions, keep the details of credit, debit ready for online transaction. The application fee is Rs 2,006 (Rs 1700 +GST 18 %). Candidates should take printout of application form and copy of fee receipt. They should retain the same till completion of admission process. Steps to fill BVP BMAT application form

  • Step 1: Candidates have to first register for the examination
  • Step 2: Fill BVP BMAT application form
  • Step 3: Paying the examination fees
  • Step 4: Taking printout of the confirmation page

All the applicants can download B-MAT admit card immediately after submitting the online B-MAT application form. If the candidates are not able to download admit card after submitting the online application, a mail will be sent to the candidates with the exact date of the availability of the admit card. The B-MAT admit card can be downloaded from the official website of Bharati Vidyapeeth. After downloading the B-MAT admit card, the candidates must check all the details printed on the same. The admit card will have details like exam centre venue, date and time of examination. All the candidates must carry the admit card to the exam centre.

BMAT will be of 200 marks to be completed in 2 and a half hours. The question paper consists of 200 objective type questions from, Current Affairs, Mathematics, Abstract and Logical Reasoning, Computer Awareness, Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension, Quantitative Aptitude and Management Skills.

B-MAT question paper will consist of questions from seven different subjects.

Current Affairs: The Current Affairs section will consist of question from static General Knowledge, History, Geography, Current Affairs, National and International happenings in the world of politics, business, trade and economy, governance, sports, personalities and awards, books etc.

  • Mathematics: Mathematics section will consist of MCQs of various topics studied till class 10, like Number Systems, Algebra, Coordinate Geometry, Geometry, Trigonometry, Mensuration, Statistics & Probability
  • Quantitative Ability: Quantitative Ability section will consist of questions from topics like, Median, Installments and Payments, Partnership, Clocks, Work and Time, Pipe and Cisterns, Lines, Cubes and Cones, Work and Time, Time, Speed, Distance, Partnership, Mode, BODMAS, etc.
  • Abstract and Logical Reasoning: Abstract and Logical Reasoning section will include questions from topics like Table, Bars, Pie-Charts, Line Graphs, Blood Relations, Puzzles, Arrangements, Data Structures, Series, Coding-Decoding, Clocks and Calendars, Direction.
  • Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension: This section will contain questions which will challenge and analyse the candidates’ knowledge of English Language and comprehension skills. The section will have questions from English Grammar and will require candidates to answer questions on the basis of given passages, fill in the blanks, word meaning, different form of word usage etc.
  • Computer Awareness and management skills: These sections will tests the candidates’ basic knowledge of computer and flair for business and management.

BMAT exam centres have been released by Bharati Vidyapeeth. The exam will be held across 13 cities. Candidates have to select BVP BMAT exam centres while filling the application form. The test cities will be mentioned in BVP BMAT admit card. Candidates must reach BMAT exam centres at least 30 minutes prior the commencement of exam. BMAT results will be released in the form of merit list. The merit list prepared as the candidate’s performance in Written Test, Group Discussion and Personal interview. The merit list of B-MAT- entrance test will be declared and displayed on the official website of Bharati Vidyapeeth. However, admission will be granted as per the order of merit.
