The International Institute of Information Technology, Hyderabad also know as IIITH  is an Autonomous University established in 1998. It was set up as a not-for-profit public private partnership and is the first IIIT to be set up under this model in India. It is approved by All Indian Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and University Grants Commission (UGC) and has  accredation of National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with grade ‘A’.

IIIT-H was founded as a research university with main focus on the core areas of Information Technology, such as Computer Science, Electronics and Communications, and their applications in other domains.

B. Tech in CSE Strong foundation of CSE that includes electronics and hardware with it.  Computer science courses are introduced in the early semesters of first year, while non-IT courses in the later stages from second year onwards.IT Workshops are specifically designed courses that are meant to learn and implement use of the latest software technologies by the third semester. The courses in mathematics, sciences, engineering and humanities empowers students to unearth the wider applications of information technology.

B. Tech in ECE Students are deputize to the core courses that comprise programming, data structures, linear algebra, probability and random processes.Courses like electronics, signals & systems, communications, VLSI, and embedded systems are introduced in the early semesters.Specially designed electronics workshops give students a hands-on experience in electronic circuit design in the second year. Advanced courses and electives enable students to specialize in communications, signal processing, robotics, VLSI, embedded systems, and other streams in later years.

Admissions is based on performance in an entrance examination (fully computer based) and an interview, both conducted by IIIT

Admission to  B.Tech and dual degree programs is done through  JEE Main score, UGEE, Direct Admissions for Students Abroad (DASA).

Eligibility

Class 12 or equivalent qualifying Examination with an aggregate of 60% marks in Maths, Physics and Chemistry.

Sanctioned Number of Seats:

The test will have two parts :
section 1 (subject proficiency test) and section 2 (research aptitute test)

Subject proficiency test : The syllabus is CBSE X1 and XII standard Physics/Maths/Chemistry.

Research aptitute test : The syllabus is also CBSE X1 and XII standard Physics/Maths/Chemistry. However, the test will be on critical and creative thinking.

All questions are objective in nature.
