IRMA was established in 1979 at Anand, Gujarat with the support of the Swiss Agency for Development Cooperation (SDC), the Government of India, Government of Gujarat, the erstwhile Indian Dairy Corporation and the National Dairy Development Board (NDDB). The rationale behind its installation had to do with providing management education, training, research and consultancy support to co-operatives and rural development organisations in India. IRMASAT stands for Institute of Rural Management Anand Social Awareness Test which provide admission in rural management through the IRMA Entrance examination.

A graduate from any discipline, with a minimum of 15 years (10+2+3) of education, having 50 per cent (45 per cent for SC/ST/DAP (Differently Abled Person)) aggregate marks at the graduation level can apply for admission. The percentage of aggregate marks is to be calculated as per the practice followed by the concerned university or institution. In case the university/institution does not have any scheme for converting CGPA into equivalent marks, the equivalence would be established by IRMA by dividing obtained CGPA with the maximum possible CGPA and multiplying the resultant with 100. Students in final year of their graduation can apply if they expect to complete all the requirements of graduation before June 03, 2018.

  • Candidate must be graduate in any branh or stream with minimum 55% marks from any reognized university.
  • Final year appearing student  an also apply for the entance examination but they must have the passed certificate at the time of admission 
  • Admission can be done with the pune b.tech/ba/bscc examination score.
  • Admission can also taking on the basis of cat/mat/reva mat examination score

Candidates can apply for the IRMASAT examination through the online application which available on the official website.

  • The First step to apply is fill the registration form. In the registration form some fields are given like name, date of birth, email id etc.
  • The candidates are advised to fill the form with correct information and not leave any mandatory field vacant. Incomplete applications or having wrong information will be rejected
  • Application fee must be pay throungh internet banking or debit card, credit card and paytm.
  • The demand draft should be drawn in favour of Rural Institute of management , payable at anand
  • The duly filled form and supporting documents should be mailed to the following address in case of payment through demand draft
