The Vidyalaya marked its beginning with a meagre strength of 30 students at 13th Avenue Harrington Road, on 20th October 1968. The Vidyalaya has progressed remarkably and the primary section Occupies a well designed block at No. 17th , Harrington Road. The High School building located on a 20 ground plot at No 9B, Taylors Road, houses classes IV to XII. The school as grown tremendously over the years and has now got a strength of 2137 students and 95 teachers. The entire building in three floors with well ventilated class rooms, equipped laboratories, full fledged computer rooms and an advanced library with a modern audio visual room provides a conducive ambience for teaching, learning process. The NCC, RSP, Scouts and Guides, clubs like Inter Act, Karuna and Eco are active to provide the students with valuable learning experience, outside the class rooms.

Admission Procedure

Minimum Age Rules (L.K.G.) : Children completing three years and six months as on the 1 st of June of the year of the application, alone shall seek admission to L.K.G.

Admission to Classes UKG. to Std. X : The school will consider for admission, subject to availability of seats, pupils from all schools recognised by the Central Board or the State Board, on production of Transfer Certificate duly issued by competent officers of the Educational Department. The applicants should also satisfy the requirements of the C.B.S.E. scheme of curriculum. In general, preference will be given for admission to pupils from C.B.S.E. Schools.

Application for admission should be accompanied by

(1) Transfer Certificate, (2) Conduct Certificate, (3) Mark Sheet

Application for admission into the L.K.G. / UKG. should be accompanied by Birth Certificate.
