The Crescent School had its origin in July 1968 at Chetpet. It was on July 19, 1971 the school was shifted to the present buildings at the Seethakathi Estate, Vandalur, Chennai. Situated in the midst of enchanting surroundings, the school offers plenty of scope to students for developing their innate talents, physical stamina and spiritual growth.
The rapid development of the school from a very humble beginning into a full fledged institution is in a large measure due to the munificence, large heartedness and far-sightedness of the Members of the Seethakathi Trust.
Crescent School strives to encourage and enable every student to develop his full potential by providing a high quality stimulating learning experience and an environment encompassing a wide range of relevant activities.

Application
Application for admission and the Prospectus can be had from the school office or can be downloaded from our website. The application fee may be paid by cash or by draft. The DD should be drawn in favour of “Crescent School, Chennai – 600 048.†The requisition for application should contain the name, the date of birth and the class to which admission is sought.
Registration
The filled-in application should be sent along with a non-refundable registration fee of Rs.2000/-.
Intimation Card
After Scrutiny of all applications, the eligible candidates would receive information regarding the Entrance Test. Only those with the Intimation Cards would be allowed to sit for the test.
Entrance Test
The recipients of the Intimation Cards are required to sit for an Entrance Test in the following subjects : English, Mathematics and the Second Language studied in the previous class (Tamil/Hindi/Arabic). The purpose of this test is to check whether the student has the basic knowledge necessary to pursue his studies here.
Interview
The Candidates provisionally selected for admission based on the Entrance Test should appear for an interview with the parents (Father & Mother) on the same day.
Date for the Entrance Test, Interview and Admission
Date for the Entrance Test, Interview & Admission will be intimated after the submission of the filled-in application form. For XI std, the date for interview would be intimated soon after the publication of X std results. Students are to apply for admission only after the receipt of their mark sheets.
Merit
Candidates will be selected on the basis of merit.
Foreign Students
The foreign students who apply for admission should send the following documents along with the application.Photo copy of the passport. The whole year performance report from the school studying at present or the school last studied. They will be given provisional admission if they satisfy all the conditions of the school.
The entrance test and the interview will be conducted in the 1st week of June thereafter the admission will be confirmed.
Transfer Certificate
The transfer and pass certificates are to be submitted on or before the 2nd week of May.
