The Congregation of the sisters of St. Joseph of Tarbes was founded in France in the year 1843 by six young peasant girls who had a special experience of God, which urged them to live TOGETHER a life of contemplation.
Thus living in communion, they became sensitive to the needs of the people around and responded enthusiastically to their call to educate children & care for the sick. Later they responded to other forms of service.
Their main aim in Education was to ensure the Christian formation of youth and to instruct the poor.
The Congregation of the Sisters of St. Joseph Tarbes was established in the year 1882. This school was started in 1944 inspired by God.
