St. Ignatius', of Loyola High School commonly called as LOYOLA HIGH SCHOOL is a Catholic Institution established and administered by Catholic Archdiocese of Kolkata. The Institution was establishment in the year 1961 by the Roman Catholic Archdiocese under the right and to religious and linguisticminorities by the India (Art. 29 and 30). The Catholic Archdiocese the Founder Body of the Institution.
The School is recognized by the Education Department of the Government of West Bengal and under the Anglo India Board of West Bengal andaffiliated to the Indian School Certificate of Secondary Education Examination.Delhi (ICSE) and Indian School Certificate Examinations Delhi (ISC).

Application for admission to Nursery Class on the prescribed form will normally be accepted in the month of October.
At the time of admission, the parent must submit to the school office a designation in writing stating the child's exact date of birth and it must be supported by an authenticated extract from the Register of Births (Corporation/Municipality/Gram panchayat) of extract from the hospital record showing the date of birth with an affidavit shown by the parent or guardian of the child before a magistrate. Catholic children are required to produce their Baptismal Certificates at the time of admission.
The Admission test for Nursery children may not be taken.
A pupil who has attended any recognized school can be admitted with a Transfer Certificate from the School last attended. If a pupil comes from a school outside the State of West Bengal, the transfer Certificate must be countersigned by the Inspector of Schools of the State from which the pupil comes.
In case a student has to be withdrawn before the end of the academic year, prior to the withdrawal a month's notice must be given in writing or a month's fee in lieu of notice is to be paid.
Should a pupil be removed from the school, no certificate will be granted until all dues to the school have been paid.
Application for a Transfer Certificate needs to be made in writing to the Principal. This must be collected from the School Office and a prescribed fee of Rs. 50/- is to be paid.Duplicate copies of Transfer Certificate are ordinarily not issued.
Fees should be paid by the dates mentioned in each month in the diary. A Fine of 20/- per month will be charged on as late fee.
The school fees cover twelve calendar months. No reduction is made for holidays or broken periods. Students are able to be charged full fees as long as their names are officially on the rolls.
Students whose fees have not been paid for three consecutive months, after due notification by the school will have their names struck off the rolls. If however, they wish to continue their schooling, they will be treated as new candidates needing re-admission. The fees for the month of February and March must be paid before the final Tests. Defaulters will also be debarred from the final Tests.
The school reserves the right to increase the fees at any time of the year if an increment is considered necessary, and every year 10-15% tuition fees will be raised, meet the yearly increment of the salaries and allowances.
