The Bachelor of Technology in Textile engineering course provides in-depth knowledge pertaining to textile technology to students who want to make a career in the textile industry.
The complete course curriculum is divided into eight semesters. Each semester provides in-depth knowledge to students with regard to core subjects and electives. The duration of the course is four years and each year comprises two semesters. Industrial training is also a part of the curriculum to expose students to the practical world of Textile engineering.
The tuition fee for B.Tech Textile engineering ranges between INR 30000 to INR 150000. After finishing this course, graduates can expect a salary starting from INR 20000 per month in the private sector.
The basic purpose of this course is to help students learn the various aspects of textile manufacturing such as garment manufacturing, chemical processing and testing of textile materials, computer applications with regard to textile engineering, yarn manufacturing, quality assurance, etc. After successful completion of this course, students can apply for various job profiles such as quality control engineer, industrial engineer, etc.

Students who have passed their 10+ 2 examinations from a reputed Board or University with minimum of 50% marks as aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics are eligible to apply for this course.
